Brooklyn Boogie Brunch Photos

Days like yesterday are what PS 295 is all about! We raised a bunch of money for the school & enjoyed a completely sold-out show – we even had to turn folks away at the door (Sorry!!)

So many highlights: the music was rockin’, the food was delish, the drinks were flowing and the kids had a blast making custom shirts, getting faces painted & dancing their hearts out all day!

Thanks to everyone on both sides of the stage who came to play, boogie, eat, drink, and support our music and art programs. It was truly PS 295 at its best!

Cupcake Friday: February 17th!

Picture it: a sunny winter Friday, right before a week of vacation. It would seem our kids’ smiles could not be broader as they line up for dismissal.  But then, what’s this? They turn and see….the Cupcake Friday tables in the courtyard! Laden with treats and confections of every (easily portioned-out) variety, from the simple to the besprinkled to the all-out Valentines-theme-tastic, there are treats for every palate and more than enough for every kid to have at least one. And they only cost a dollar each?? NOW the Friday joy is complete!

Every Cupcake Friday this happy vignette is brought to life when you, our amazing parents, pitch in to bake your delicious treats and bring them to the main office in the morning or to the cupcake tables in the courtyard at dismissal. Don’t forget to send your kids with money to buy cupcakes! And if you can help sell, please email ryanmjgoldberg@gmail.com. Thank you!CupcakeFridayFeb17-01 CupcakeFridayFeb17-02

Photos of the Winter 2017 School Play

Click here to enjoy some photos of our January 2017 production of “Little Red Robin Hood!”  (photography by parent Matthew Kells.)

Our 4th and 5th graders have wowed us and made us all proud with their incredible production of “Little Red Robin Hood.” They brought this zany fractured fairy tale to life and delighted our community with a theatrical experience full of laughs.
Students audition to be in our stellar productions– 5th graders comprise the cast and crew and 4th graders are in the dance club. Students study drama at PS 295 starting in pre-k, and build upon what they learn each year in drama in order to be able to perform with such expertise and professionalism for young people.
It takes lot of dedicated students, staff, and parent volunteers to put a production of this caliber together! Huge congratulations to this hardworking team, lead by drama teacher Ms. Cat as the director and Ms. Ellrodt as the technical director and sound & stage crew director.
