Touch-A-Truck Brooklyn



Climb inside, touch and explore the trucks you see everyday! (plus other cool vehicles). Join us for a fun, exciting fundraiser to benefit the PTA at P.S. 295, (our PTA is a non-profit 501 3(c))
What it is: A chance for Brooklyn kids to encounter working trucks and vehicles they see in everyday life up close and personal.
When: Saturday, April 28, 12:00PM - 5:00pm, rain or shine
Where: The fair will run the length of 18th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues, next to PS 295, which lies at the intersection of Park Slope, Windsor Terrace and Sunset Park.
Subway: R to Prospect Ave; F to 15th St/Prospect Park
Tickets: $5 per person (no charge for infants under six months).
Touch-A-Truck Brooklyn 2012 will be bigger and better than ever: more trucks, longer hours, shorter lines, and even more great food. Over 20 vehicles are scheduled to take part in the event, along with their drivers/operators, who will be on hand to explain how these automobiles work and what purpose they serve in the community. Highlights include:
- FDNY fire truck
- Ambulance
- NYPD police car
- Dump truck
- DSNY Garbage truck
- Tow Truck
- School bus
- Bucket trucks/cherry pickers
- Sean Casey Animal Adoption Van
- Concrete mixer
- Green-Wood Cemetery Trolley
All proceeds benefit the arts programs at P.S. 295 - music, dance, drama, and visual arts.
