Our Halloween Dance is our kick off to the fall season, welcoming families (old and new) back to school, AND our first big fundraiser of the year. Every year, we transform the main lobby into the funnest dance club in town and in the last two years, our own Día de los Muertos celebration! The kids have a blast dancing the night away and we raise a lot of money for the PTA through donations.
There’s no admission fee, but your donations are welcome at the door or online. It’s super easy to donate online at our website (www.ps295.org) — click on the big red, “Pay dues or make a donation” button and follow the instructions. Or go directly to https://www.nycharities.org/give/donate.aspx?cc=2361. Be sure to designate your donation to [child’s name, class] and “Halloween Dance 2017” so the student gets credit for attendance.
A prize will be awarded to the class with the highest number of students showing off their dance moves! Online donations to PS 295 are made through NY Charities. Donating online also gives you a receipt that you can use for a tax deduction since the PS 295 PTA is a 501(c)3 charity. Donations may also be brought to the dance!
