First Day of School
Get ready for our first day of school at PS 295 Brooklyn! Please plan to arrive promptly at the 19th Street Courtyard Entrance between 6th and 7th Avenue. All students and families in 3-K, Pre-K, and Grades K–5 will be invited to visit the classroom (meet teachers, drop-off school supplies, and share a brief and reassuring goodbye) on the first day, September 10.

Remote School: Election Day
NYC School buildings are closed for Election Day. Students will learn from home. It is a fully remote school day with no in-person attendance

Join your Family Teacher Association for a family-friendly evening of food, drinks, music, and games, raising funds for before and after school scholarships, recess enhancement, family and cultural programming, and classroom startup stipends. Our friends at Backyard have crafted an exclusive menu with 20% of every purchase going to PS 295.

Touch A Truck Festival
A Full City Block of Amazing Vehicles of All Shapes and Sizes for Kids and Families to Explore!
“Touch A Truck” is one of Park Slope’s landmark events, back again for 2025! This large-scale event at the PS 295 Brooklyn campus features vehicles, food trucks, inflatable play spaces, live music, and hands-on activities, especially geared towards kids ages 2–12.
All proceeds support PS 295 Brooklyn, including our art, theater, music, and dance programs, academic support for English language learners and special needs students, and our wellness enrichment initiatives for all students.
