Dear PS 295 Community,

I am writing to you today, with great enthusiasm, to introduce myself as the new Principal of PS 295 The Studio School of Arts and Culture. I am honored to join a community whose mission is to: “nurture proactive, joyful, and courageous learners, who regard mistakes as learning opportunities while pursuing their talents, solving problems, and developing self-control”. I look forward to meeting you all tomorrow, Thursday, June 13.

District 15 has been my home for seven years. With over sixteen years of experience in education, and passion for creating inclusive learning environments that foster learning, I am dedicated to supporting the mission and vision of the PS 295 community. I am excited to contribute my skills and knowledge to enhancing the student and parent educational experiences. My focus will be on creating an inclusive environment that is relevant and responsive to all cultures and continuing the high academic expectations of PS 295.

I believe in open communication and collaboration between educators, students, and parents. As a working parent of two young girls, with diverse needs, I know the importance of the home school connection and the struggles many parents are facing. I look forward to working as a community to ensure students are growing academically, socially, and emotionally; and that community members feel supported.

In my role, I will be working closely with the district, staff, parents, and students to ensure the diverse needs of our community are met. I believe that together we can create an environment where our students are thriving academically and socially. My door is open and I welcome your input.
