NYC Department of Education’s Citywide Standards of Discipline and Intervention Measures

NYC Department of Education’s Citywide Standards of Discipline and Intervention Measures

When expectations are continually not met,  teachers will reach out to parents to work collaboratively to improve behavioral outcomes.  Consequences may also be put into place when behavioral expectations are continually not met.   The different levels of mis-behaviors and the consequences noted will correlate directly to the Citywide Behavioral Expectations to Support Student Learning.

We encourage parents and guardians to remind their children that disruptive or unacceptable behavior hurts all children. When it does occur, it will be discussed with the children involved and their parents or guardians. In setting standards of behavior and discipline procedures, PS 295 follows the NYC Department of Education’s Citywide Standards of Discipline and Intervention Measures.
